Single tickets for Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas! are now on sale online at www.TheOldGlobe.org. The annual holiday musical, directed by James Vasquez with book and lyrics by Timothy Mason and music by Mel Marvin, will run on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center, November 17 - December 29. Previews run from Nov. 17 - Nov. 23. Opening night is Nov. 23 at 7:00 p.m. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the show below.

Celebrating the artistic legacy of Theodor Seuss Geisel, twenty-four of the most sought-after artworks will be presented at the gallery with recent releases from The Art of Dr. Seuss collection, offering a rare opportunity for visitors to view and experience one of the largest selections of authorized estate editions ever assembled.

The Old Globe hosted its annual Gala on Saturday, July 30 honoring San Diego philanthropist Audrey Geisel and her significant contributions to the Globe. Darlene Shiley and Sheryl White served as 2011 Gala Co-Chairs.

Old Globe to Host 'Cat in the Hat' Series, 9/6

Executive Producer Lou Spisto today announced that The Old Globe, in partnership with KPBS, will host a special screening of 'The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That!,' a new animated television series airing on the PBS KIDS programming block on KPBS-TV and designed to support science learning for preschoolers. The free event will take place on Monday, September 6 in the Old Globe Theatre. All children in attendance will receive complimentary goody bags and may have their photos taken with The Cat in the Hat himself. The Grinch from the Globe's annual holiday production of Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas! will also make a special appearance. Doors open at 3:00 p.m. with screenings at 4:00 and 5:00 p.m. To RSVP, please call the Globe's box office at (619) 23-GLOBE or visit www.TheOldGlobe.org for more information.
