After over 2 months of rehearsals, the excitement in Manila is building as the world's #1 musical begins performances this weekend at The Theatre at Solaire. The first international tour of THE LION KING kicks off in the Philippines before additional engagements in Singapore, Korea and Taiwan.

Now in the thick of rehearsals, Disney's 'The Lion King's' 25th global production and its first international tour since the original Broadway production opened 20 years ago, met with the members of the press yesterday, February 8, at the Star Theater, CCP Complex.

Disney Theatrical Productions in association with Michael Cassel Group announces the first international tour of the world's #1 musical, Disney's The Lion King, to premiere in Manila in March 2018 with additional engagements in Singapore, Korea, Taiwan and South Africa.

Shanghai Disney Resort celebrated the global premiere of the first Mandarin production of Disney's THE LION KING Tuesday night in a gala affair at the Walt Disney Grand Theatre. The premiere launched the Grand Opening festivities for the new resort, which officially opens on June 16. A red carpet entry to the new theatre welcomed celebrities, luminaries and Julie Taymor, the Tony Award®-winning director of THE LION KING.

Disney and Cameron Mackintosh recently announced that ZIZI STRALLEN will play 'Mary Poppins' and MATT LEE will play 'Bert' in the forthcoming UK and Ireland tour of their multi award-winning musical MARY POPPINS, opening at Leicester Curve on 12 October 2015. The second UK tour of MARY POPPINS has found its leading lady! The Daily Mail writes that Zizi Strallen will take on the title role in the production, which kicks off at the Leicester Curve on October 13, 2015. Strallen will be joined onstage by Matt Lee as 'Bert'.

The performance from the cast of LES MISERABLES began with Hugh Jackman taking the stage to perform the new original song 'Suddenly' from Tom Hooper's adaptation, where he was then joined by Russell Crowe, Amanda Seyfried, Samantha Barks, Aaron Tveit, Helena Bonham Carter, Sacha Baron Cohen and Eddie Redmayne - as well as numerous members from the show's various productions - to perform the Act One Finale 'One Day More', while Anne Hathaway will sing a section of 'I Dreamed A Dream'. As the Broadway production of Mary Poppins comes to a close, we asked current and original principle cast members, as well as current cast members who have been with the show since day one, to share with us some memories and tell us what being a part of the magic has meant to them. Memphis 'most eagerly awaited stage production Mary Poppins will arrive at The Orpheum Theatre tonight, February 5th and will run through Sunday, February 10th.

The Jacksonville premiere of MARY POPPINS opens tonight, Tuesday, January 22 at 7:30PM at the Times-Union Center for a limited engagement of 8 performances through Sunday, January 27. 'We are delighted that sales have exceeded expectations, but there are still great seats available for this wonderful musical,' said Milt Russos, Executive Director of the Artist Series.
