After years of captivating children from around the globe, the number one children's entertainment group, The Wiggles, are bringing their "catchy brand of preschool pop" (Chicago Tribune) back to North American audiences. This fall, "the band that rocks the cradle" (The New York Times) will delight families across the country in support of their new CD and DVD, Apples and Bananas (available August 26), as well as a new season of their hit television show airing on Sprout.

The times are a changin' and so are The Wiggles. After 21 years of entertaining children around the globe, The Wiggles will introduce three new cast members including the first-ever female member, Emma Watkins. These vibrant new Wiggles will bring the 'Taking Off!' worldwide tour to the Fox Theatre today, September 22 at 2:30 p.m. in support their new album of the same name (available May 7th on Razor & Tie). The Taking Off! DVD is slated for release later this summer, and A New Television series will debut on Sprout in the fall.

Last night was the premiere of FADE TO BLACK, an innovative 10 minute play festival promoting and supporting original works created by African-American artists. This showcase is the creative brainchild of Denise O'Neal of WMGE, LLC and Leighza Walker of LeighzaLand Productions, and it is a true first for the Houston theater community. Thankfully, these extraordinary women have already placed FADE TO BLACK on next year's calendar with the intentions of creating an annual event that centers around encouraging and producing new works written by African-American playwrights.
