Boulder Theater Announces Schedule Through January, 2010

The Boulder Theater has announced a full schedule for the remainder of its 2009 season, as well as the beginning of its 2010 season. The season will include artists such as DeVotchka, Warren Miller's 'DYNASTY', and Neil Berg's 100 YEARS OF BROADWAY.

Edmond Rostand's CYRANO DE BERGERAC is a theatrical paradox. The notoriously picky John Simon called it 'not a great play, merely a perfect one.' Be that as it may, companies mounting the show usually find that though this play is very hard to ruin, it's also nearly impossible to get completely right.

Spisto, Executive Producer of the Tony Award®-winning Old Globe, is pleased to announce that the Theatre will produce the new hip-hop/rock musical KINGDOM, with book/lyrics by Aaron Jafferis and music by Ian Williams, directed by Ron Daniels, for 14 performances, February 12 - 22, 2009 at The Lincoln High School Center for the Arts (Feb 12-15) and at the Old Globe Theatre (Feb 19-22).

The critically acclaimed production of Cyrano de Bergerac, Edmond Rostand's 1897 romantic classic with a translation and adaptation by Anthony Burgess, was recorded live on Wednesday, January 2, 2008 for PBS 'Great Performances.' It's now going to be made available on DVD on January 6, 2009. It will also be seen on PBS stations beginning January 7th, 2009 from 8-10:30pm.
