The Media Theatre presents the Tony winning musical Sunset Boulevard, Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber's magnificent take on Billy Wilder's legendary film focusing on the silent film star Norma Desmond as she hopes for a return to screen glory during the advent of the talkies.

Exceptional local films along with others from as far away as Singapore, Italy and the United Kingdom will be shown as part of the Media Film Festival, today and tomorrow, April 4th and 5th. Now in its 7th year, the festival of short films has moved to the historic Media Theatre on State Street in downtown Media.

The Pennsylvania State Senate, in a proclamation from Senator Dominic Pileggi and Senator Edwin B. Erickson, recognized The Media Theatre for the momentous occasion of its twentieth anniversary in producing professional Broadway musicals.

Tony nominated actress Ann Crumb will portray Norma Desmond in Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical 'Sunset Boulevard' at The Media Theatre April 16-May 18. She will once again be directed by Media Music Theatre Company's Artistic Director Jesse Cline in this production.

Walnut Street Theatre continues its landmark 205th season with the acclaimed new drama OTHER DESERT CITIES. Written by Jon Robin Baitz and directed by Kate Galvin, the play began previews on January 14th, opens tonight, January 22nd and runs through March 2nd on the WST Mainstage.
