Judson Theatre Company welcomes Elinor Donahue in their production of the Pulitzer Prize comedy HARVEY by Mary Chase. Donahue, an Emmy nominee, is well known for her role as Betty on FATHER KNOWS BEST. HARVEY opens tonight, September 24 and runs through Sunday, September 27 at Owens Auditorium at Sandhills Community College, located at 3395 Airport Road in Pinehurst.
Orpheum's HALLORAN CENTRE Officially Opens with Ribbon Cutting, Dedication

Today at 2:00 PM the Memphis Development Foundation (MDF), which operates the Orpheum Theatre, formally dedicated the newest and largest capital project in its history: the Halloran Centre for Performing Arts & Education. The ceremony included a ribbon cutting, flag presentation, dedication prayer, and reception. Event speakers included MDF Board Chairman Andy Taylor, Mayor AC Wharton, Jr., Mayor Mark H. Luttrell, and Orpheum President & CEO Pat Halloran. Mr. Taylor led the ceremony, and Dr. Scott Morris presided over the dedication.

59E59 Theaters (Elysabeth Kleinhans, Artistic Director; Peter Tear, Executive Producer; Brian Beirne, Managing Director) is thrilled to welcome SONGBIRD, written by Michael Kimmel, with music & lyrics by Lauren Pritchard, and directed by JV Mercanti. Produced by Allison Bressi and Diana Buckhantz by special association with Less Than Rent Theatre for the 5A Season, SONGBIRD begins performances on Tuesday, October 20 for a limited engagement through Sunday, November 29. Opening Night is Wednesday, October 28 at 7 PM. The performance schedule is Tuesday - Thursday at 7 PM; Friday at 8 PM; Saturday at 2 PM & 8 PM; and Sunday at 3 PM. Orpheum Board Honors President with Building Name

The Board of Directors of the Memphis Development Foundation (MDF), which operates the historic Orpheum Theatre, will name the Foundation's newest capital addition the Halloran Centre for Performing Arts & Education in honor of President and CEO Pat Halloran. Halloran will have served the Orpheum Theatre for 35 years at the time of his retirement at the end of 2015. The Centre, a $14.5 million addition to the Orpheum campus, has long been a passion project of Halloran's.

BroadwayWorld has confirmed that Roundabout Theatre Company is canceling its June 7th matinee of On the Twentieth Century to accommodate star Kristin Chenoweth's co-hosting gig with Alan Cumming for the 2015 TONY AWARDS and the cast's performance that evening. Chenoweth will also be absent from the 8 p.m. show on June 6th.

BroadwayWorld has just learned that ON THE TWENTIETH CENTURY star Kristin Chenoweth will be out again for Sunday's matinee. The star missed performances on Friday and on Saturday due to illness. Chenoweth's understudy is Mamie Parris. No word yet on when she'll be back in the show- stay tuned!
