Opening night of Little Shop of Horrors was celebrated last night at the Pasadena Playhouse. The production stars George Salazar as “Seymour Krelborn;” Mj Rodriguez as “Audrey;” Kevin Chamberlin, as “Mr. Mushnik;” Matthew Wilkas as “Orin Scrivello;” and Amber Riley as “Audrey ll.” 

59E59 Theaters presents the world premiere of A WOMAN OF THE WORLD written by Rebecca Gilman and directed by Valentina Fratti. Produced by The Acting Company in association with Miranda Theatre Company, A WOMAN OF THE WORLD begins performances on Thursday, October 24 for a limited engagement through Sunday, November 17. Press Opening is Wednesday, October 30 at 7:30 pm. The performance schedule is Tuesday a?' Friday at 7:30 pm; Saturday at 2:30 pm & 7:30 pm; and Sunday at 2:30 pm. Amazon Prime has released the trailer for the muscial finale of Transparent, written by Jill Soloway and starring Judith Light Gaby Hoffmann, Amy Landecker, Jay Duplass, Alexandra Billings, Kathryn Hahn, Shakina Nayfack, and Trace Lysetteand. It was previously announced that Jeffrey Tambor would not return for the finale, and that the musical episode deals with the loss of Tambor's character Maura.

Deadline reports that Jill Soloway, creator of Transparent, revealed Jeffrey Tambor's character Maura will be killed off in the series' musical finale.

Chris O'Dowd will be moving into a land of both shadow and substance in THE TWILIGHT ZONE. O'Dowd will star in the episode titled “The Blue Scorpion,” written by Glen Morgan, which will also feature Amy Landecker.

The Pasadena Playhouse announces that Simon Helberg will play George Bailey in its holiday production of It's a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play adapted from the film by Joe Landry, and directed by Cameron Watson, for 15 performances only December 12 to 23 (Press Opening: December 13, 8 p.m.).  Additional casting is still to be announced.

The Amazon series 'Transparent' will end with a musical episode, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The fifth season of the series will be it's last, and the final episode will be a musical episode, creator Jill Soloway told The New York Times. 

This morning, Broadway's Kelli O'Hara received her first Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Actress In A Short Form Comedy Or Drama Series for her role as Katie Bonner in 'The Accidental Wolf'.

According to the Hollywood Reporter,  the removal of Emmy-winner Jeffrey Tambor has postponed the return date of Amazon series TRANSPARENT. The actor was recently removed from the show following claims of sexual harassment from two of his colleagues. With production not scheduled to begin until the end of the year, the show will not be returning in 2018.
