Amazon today announced that critically-acclaimed multi-hyphenates Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino (Gilmore Girls) have entered a multi-year overall deal with Amazon Studios. Sherman-Palladino and Palladino will develop television projects that will add to their unprecedented two-season greenlight of upcoming Amazon Original Series The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, which debuts this fall on Prime Video.
Patty Jenkins and Antoine Fuqua Join Lexus Short Films Season 4 Selection Committee

After an exciting launch in June at Tokyo Short Shorts for Season 4 of Lexus Short Films, Lexus International and The Weinstein Company have now announced Patty Jenkins, best known for directing Warner Bros. and DC Comics Wonder Woman and her debut feature Monster, and Antoine Fuqua, best known for directing the films The Magnificent Seven, The Equalizer and Training Day, to join Taylor Sheridan for the film program's selection committee.

Actor, producer, philanthropist and fashion designer, Alyssa Milano, attended Blue Man Group in New York at Astor Place Theatre on Sunday, July 23 with her five-year-old son, Milo. Following the performance, Milano was treated to a private VIP meet-and-greet with three Blue Men. Milo, an aspiring drummer, was also given a pair of drumsticks Blue Man Group used in the show. Playwrights Foundation, one of the West Coast's premiere launchpads for exceptional emerging playwrights, is thrilled to announce the lineup for the 40th Anniversary Bay Area Playwrights Festival (BAPF), featuring playwrights Hilary Bettis, Clarence Coo, Bennett Fisher, Lauren Gunderson, Nilan Johnson, and Mona Mansour. The 40th Anniversary Bay Area Playwrights Festival runs July 13 - 23, 2017 at Custom Made Theatre, 533 Sutter Street in the heart of San Francisco's Theater District. In addition to twelve staged readings, the Festival will offer a Theater Professionals weekend 7/21-23, special events and an anniversary celebration 7/13. Tickets on sale June 1st at bayareaplaywrightsfestival.org.
