The Public Theater announced initial casting today for the 2017 Free Shakespeare in the Park season, beginning Tuesday, May 23 at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park, continuing a 55-year tradition of free theater in Central Park.

The Public Theater announced the line-up today for the 2017 Free Shakespeare in the Park season, continuing a 55-year tradition of free theater in Central Park.

The Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO) announced its 2017/18 season to a packed house in Kodak Hall at Eastman Theatre earlier this evening. The Orchestra's third annual, free Season Preview Concert once again featured the entire orchestra onstage performing selected excerpts, with emcee Music Director Ward Stare joined for the first time by Principal Pops Conductor Jeff Tyzik. The two co-hosted the informal and lively evening from a living room-type setting on stage, and took turns conducting highlights from the upcoming Philharmonics and Pops Series.

The New Group announces additional casting for productions coming up in the company's 2016-2017 Season.

Ballet NY, founded in 1997 by Artistic Directors Medhi Bahiri and Judith Fugate, offered an opportunity to four emerging choreographers to work with classically trained dancers and present company premieres on April 16th at the Ailey Citi Group Theater.

Grammy nominated, internationally acclaimed ZOFO Duet, featuring solo pianists Keisuke Nakagoshi and Eva-Maria Zimmermann, perform a program including Gershwin's 'Cuban Overture' on Sunday, March 23 in Mill Valley.

Ballet NY presents its 2014 Season, including In the Garden of Souls, the company premieres of Kinderszenen, Dreams, and excerpts from Urban Study, from April 15-17, 2014 at the Ailey Citigroup Theater, 405 West 55th Street, NYC (at Ninth Avenue).
