TigerLion Arts' THE COSMIC EQUATION & WHAT IF I'M DEAD? Begin at Minnesota Fringe

This summer, TigerLion Arts (TLA) has its paws in two shows to be produced as part of the Minnesota Fringe Festival, tonight, August 1 - 11, 2013. THE COSMIC EQUATION = 2 Wives + 2 Husbands ÷ Adventure! is a collaboration with Adventurer Press in which two smart Wives escape from their two ignorant Husbands in search of adventure. What if I'm Dead?, produced by TigerLion Arts, is a highly physical solo show in which Red Nose Clown Bartholomew (New York comedian Alan Fessenden) stages his own funeral.

Actor, comedian and multiple GRAMMY nominated artist Rick Moranis released his new album, My Mother's Brisket & Other Love Songs, this week. Already the No. 1 selling comedy album on Amazon and in the Top 10 on iTunes Comedy Chart, Moranis was also featured in today's New York Times who noted the album is '13 comic tunes that explore [Moranis'] Jewish heritage in ridiculous ways,' with its' eclectic blend of klezmer, rumba, folk and jazz covering themes of family, food, religious traditions and love.

UnsungMusicalsCo. (UMC), in a collaboration with the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts, will record three songs from the little-known 1947 musical comedy Barefoot Boy With Cheek featuring performances by Jenn Colella (Chaplin, Closer Than Ever), Max von Essen(Evita, Death Takes a Holiday) and Robert Lenzi (South Pacific, Hello Again). UMC's recordings will be released for free digital download on the New York Public Library's website as part of its Musical of the Month blog series, which recently featured UMC's reconstruction of the Barefoot Boy libretto. The musical has never received a cast album.
