After weeks of speculation, ET reports exclusively that Melissa McCarthy will not be reprising her role of chef Sookie St. James in Netflix's upcoming GILMORE GIRLS reboot.

Todd Lowe, who played Zach Van Gerbig, and Liz Torres, who played dance instructor Miss Patty will also revise their roles for the project.

Stars Hollow residents Babette Dell and Taylor Doose will be returning to the recently announced Netflix revival.

Netflix announced additional casting for the fan favorite series, Gilmore Girls (WT), created, written and directed by Amy Sherman-Palladino and executive produced, written and directed by Daniel Palladino.

We didn't think Netflix's GILMORE GIRLS revival could get any better -- but it's outdone itself! According to The Hollywood Reporter, Broadway royalty Sutton Foster is the first new actress to join the streaming platform's highly anticipated reboot.

Following reports last fall that Netflix was working on a deal to revive the beloved drama, the streaming service announced today it will produce four 90-minute 'mini movies', written and directed by series creator Amy Sherman-Palladino and executive producer Daniel Palladino.

Marking the New York theatre directorial debut for acclaimed actor Matthew Lillard, the show will feature Eric William Morris. Performances begin tonight, April 24 and run through Saturday, May 2, at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street).
