ESCAPE TO MARGARITAVILLE, the new musical featuring the songs of iconic singer-songwriter-author Jimmy Buffett, is coming to Broadway! But before it lands on the Great White Way, the show launches a pre-Broadway tour in New Orleans at the Saenger Theatre (October 20-28, 2017), and will play Houston's Hobby Center (October 31-November 5, 2017), and Chicago's Oriental Theatre (November 9-December 2, 2017), before sailing to Broadway at the Marquis Theatre with previews beginning February 16, 2018 and an opening night officially set for Thursday, March 15, 2018.

On The Quays, a NYC-based international production company will present An Afternoon With Keiji Ishiguri & On The Quays , a benefit concert in their series of Hometown Concerts - the How About Love Tour at the St. James the Less Parish Hall on Sunday, September 17 at 4:00 p.m.

Producers Frank Marshall, Mindy Rich, Anita Waxman, and Beth Williams announced the official cast for the pre-Broadway tour and Broadway premiere of Escape to Margaritaville, the new musical featuring the songs of iconic singer-songwriter-author Jimmy Buffett. As previously announced, the musical begins previews on Broadway on Friday, February 16, 2018, at the Marquis Theatre (210 West 46th Street), with an official opening night set for Thursday, March 15, 2018. Amas Musical Theatre and The Amas Musical Theatre Lab will present additional staged readings next month of two musicals in development for upcoming full productions. First up will be Gotta Getta Girl, a 1930's musical romp with book and lyrics by Peter Charles Morris and music by David Caldwell, directed by Phillip George (Forbidden Broadway) with musical direction by Mr. Caldwell. The readings will be held on Monday, November 2 @ 6pm and Tuesday November 3 @ 3pm & 7pm, at The Playroom Theatre (151 West 46thStreet, 8th Floor - between Broadway & 6th Avenue).

BroadwayWorld has learned that Jose Llana (THE KING AND I), Ann Harada (AVENUE Q), Ali Ewoldt (THE KING AND I), and more will lead "Changing the Stats: Asian Americans on Broadway." The show will be a concert of excerpts from dream roles not traditionally cast with Asian American actors on Monday, November 2 at The Leonard Nimoy Thalia at Symphony Space.

Honeymoon in Vegas played its final performance at Broadway's Nederlander Theater (208 West 41st Street) on Sunday, April 5, 2015, and the entire cast decided to stay onstage and have a party with the orchestra to celebrate the musical's Broadway run. Watch them rock it out below!
