This holiday season ABC will again air the "PEANUTS" Christmas special, I WANT A DOG FOR CHRISTMAS CHARLIE BROWN!, produced and animated by the same team that has gave us the other, now classic cartoon specials based on Charles M. Schulz's famed comic strip. "I Want a Dog for Christmas, Charlie Brown!" will air TONIGHT, DECEMBER 20 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET).

FOCUS DANCE is a part of FOCUS 2013, the National Platform to promote American dance both abroad and nationally. The week-long platform presents performances of U.S.-based dance companies during the annual Arts Presenters Conference in New York City, and one of the largest gatherings of artists, dancers and dance professionals in the U.S. From January 8-14, 2013, four venues partner with Gotham Arts Exchange to present the artistic visions of five curators gathered to shape this year's edition:

Strawberry Theatre Workshop previously decided to reschedule Jose Gonzales Trio Plays 'A Charlie Brown Christmas.' Seattle theatre lost one of its leaders--Andrea Allen--on November 15th. This week it was announced that the celebration of Andrea's contribution to the arts and arts education would be held on Monday, December 10th at Seattle Repertory Theatre. To allow the community to fully participate in this memorial, the theatre's event, originally scheduled for the same date, will now take place tonight, December 11th.

Juilliard's 'New Dances: Edition 2012' Opens Next Wednesday

Juilliard Dance premieres four newly-choreographed works by choreographers Camille A. Brown (1st-Year Class), Emery LeCrone (2nd-Year Class), Susan Shields (3rd-Year Class), and Jarek Cemerek (4th-Year Class) in this year's New Dances: Edition 2012, under the direction of Artistic Director Lawrence Rhodes. All Juilliard Dance Division students perform on the program, and they have been working closely with these four innovative choreographers as they create new works on each of the Dance Division's classes.
G-Shock Introduces Bluetooth Smart Watch

Casio America, Inc. introduced their latest technological achievement, the G-Shock Bluetooth Low Energy Smart Watch. Casio has been redefining the wristwatch for years by applying the latest technologies. Now, Casio's application of Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) positions the company to create new possibilities for the way people use their watches. The GB6900AA collection provides Bluetooth time sync, alerts for incoming calls and emails, in addition to a Find Me function in which alarm and vibration functions on an iPhone can be activated using the buttons of the watch. To silence the vibration of the alarms, Casio has added a tap function in which the user double taps the face and the alert is automatically dismissed. In addition, the Bluetooth G-Shock will provide a notification when the phone is out of range of the watch, making sure the phone is never misplaced and the watch will automatically adjust itself to the correct time zone by using the time data received through the iPhone.
Creede Rep Theatre Awarded NEA Grant for 2013 Young Audience Outreach Tour

National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) Chairman Rocco Landesman announced today that Creede Repertory Theatre (CRT) is one of 153 not-for-profit organizations nationwide to receive an NEA Challenge America Fast-Track grant. CRT is recommended for a $10,000 grant to support the 2013 Young Audience Outreach Tour. Working alongside Tony Garcia and Daniel Valdez of Denver's nationally acclaimed theatre company Su Teatro, the 2013 Tour will bring excellent theatre to over 19,000 children from rural and underserved schools throughout the Southwest.

A CHARLIE BROWN THANKSGIVING is Ratings Winner for ABC

ABC's airing of the Peanut's classic A CHARLIE BROWN THANKSGIVING proved to be a ratings winner for the network, holding up strongly against CBS' Survivor and Fox's The X-Factor last night. The 39-year-old animated special delivered its biggest audience in four years - 8.1 million viewers and a 2.2 rating in the adult demo, up 22 percent from last year.
