The timeless enchantment of a magical fairy tale is reborn with the Rodgers & Hammerstein hallmarks of originality, charm and elegance. Originally presented on television in 1957 starring Julie Andrews, Rodgers & Hammerstein's CINDERELLA was the most widely viewed program in the history of the medium. Its recreation in 1965 starring Lesley Ann Warren was no less successful in transporting a new generation to the miraculous kingdom of dreams-come-true, and so was a second remake in 1997, which starred Brandy as Cinderella and Whitney Houston as her Fairy Godmother. As adapted for the stage, with great warmth and more than a touch of hilarity, the hearts of children and adults alike still soar when the slipper fits. This Enchanted Edition is based on the 1997 teleplay.Music by Rodgers, Richard; Book and Lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II; Adapted for the Stage by Tom Briggs; From the Teleplay by Robert L. It's 1985 and rock-star wannabe Robbie Hart is New Jersey's favorite wedding singer. He's the life of the party, until his own fiance leaves him at the altar. Shot through the heart, Robbie makes every wedding as disastrous as his own. Enter Julia, a winsome waitress who wins his affection. Only trouble is Julia is about to be married to a Wall Street shark, and unless Robbie can pull off the performance of a decade, the girl of his dreams will be gone forever. With a brand new score that pays loving homage to the pop songs of the 1980's, The Wedding Singer takes us back to a time when hair was big, greed was good, collars were up, and a wedding singer might just be the coolest guy in the room.

Six young people in the throes of puberty, overseen by grown-ups who
barely managed to escape childhood themselves, learn that winning isn't
everything and that losing doesn't necessarily make you a loser.THE
25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE is a hilarious tale of
overachievers' angst chronicling the experience of six adolescent
outsiders vying for the spelling championship of a lifetime. The show's
Tony Award winning creative team has created the unlikeliest of hit
musicals about the unlikeliest of heroes: a quirky yet charming cast of
outsiders for whom a spelling bee is the one place where they can stand
out and fit in at the same time.

The Brothers Grimm "go Broadway" as Sondheim and Lapine offer up a cockeyed fairy tale where all of your favorite characters""Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack (and his beanstalk) and The Witch""meet and interact on their journeys. With unforgettable roles, little dancing and no chorus, INTO THE WOODS JR. showcases a medium-sized ensemble of talented singers and actors. The sophisticated score has been adapted to make it easier--though still challenging--for young performers. INTO THE WOODS JR. is a funny and engaging way to get young people to think about the stories with which they've grown up and the ethical issues raised therein.

With a brand new score that pays loving homage to the pop songs of the 1980's, The Wedding Singer takes us back to a time when hair was big, greed was good, collars were up, and a wedding singer might just be the coolest guy in the room.

barely managed to escape childhood themselves, learn that winning isn't
everything and that losing doesn't necessarily make you a loser.THE
25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE is a hilarious tale of
overachievers' angst chronicling the experience of six adolescent
outsiders vying for the spelling championship of a lifetime. The show's
Tony Award winning creative team has created the unlikeliest of hit
musicals about the unlikeliest of heroes: a quirky yet charming cast of
outsiders for whom a spelling bee is the one place where they can stand
out and fit in at the same time.

URINETOWN
UNIV OF ALABAMA - HUNTSVILLE
4/13-4/24/2013
One of the most uproariously funny musicals in recent years, URINETOWN
is a hilarious tale of greed, corruption, love, and revolution in a
time when water is worth its weight in gold. In a Gotham-like city, a
terrible water shortage, caused by a 20-year drought, has led to a
government-enforced ban on private toilets. The citizens must use
public amenities, regulated by a single malevolent company that profits
by charging admission for one of humanity's most basic needs. Amid the
people, a hero decides he's had enough, and plans a revolution to lead
them all to freedom!

Inspired by the works of Bertolt Brecht and Kurt Weill, URINETOWN
is an irreverently humorous satire in which no one is safe from
scrutiny. Praised for reinvigorating the very notion of what a musical
could be, URINETOWN catapults the "comedic romp"? into
the new millennium with its outrageous perspective, wickedly modern

An affectionate paean to Smalltown, U.S.A. of a bygone era, Meredith Willson's THE MUSIC MAN
follows fast-talking traveling salesman Harold Hill as he cons the
people of River City, Iowa into buying instruments and uniforms for a
boys' band he vows to organize - this despite the fact he doesn't know a
trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town with the cash are
foiled when he falls for Marian the librarian, who transforms him into a
respectable citizen by curtain's fall. Perfect for professional
theatres, community groups, summer stock and schools alike, this
award-winning, critically acclaimed Broadway classic is an all-American
institution, thanks to is quirky characters, charmingly predictable
dramatic situations, and one-of-a-kind, nostalgic score of rousing
marches, barbershop quartets and sentimental ballads which have become
popular standards. The cast features a soaring soprano ingenue, parts
for young performers and children, and one of the musical theatre's
treasures, a tour de force leading role for a charismatic actor who
doesn't need to be a trained singer. By turns wicked, funny, warm, romantic and touching, THE MUSIC MAN is family entertainment at its best.

One of the most explosive movie musicals in recent memory bursts onto the live stage with exhilarating results. When Ren and his mother move from Chicago to a small farming town, Ren is prepared for the inevitable adjustment period at his new high school. What he isn't prepared for are the rigorous local edicts, including a ban on dancing instituted by the local preacher, determined to exercise the control over the town's youth that he cannot command in his own home. When the reverend's rebellious daughter sets her sights on Ren, her roughneck boyfriend tries to sabotage Ren's reputation, with many of the locals eager to believe the worst about the new kid. The heartfelt story that emerges is of a father longing for the son he lost and of a young man aching for the father who walked out on him. To the rockin' rhythm of its Oscar and Tony-nominated top 40 score (the soundtrack album reached number one on the Billboard charts and has sold over 15 million copies!) and augmented with dynamic new songs for the stage musical, FOOTLOOSE celebrates the wisdom of listening to young people, guiding them with a warm heart and an open mind.Music by Tom Snow; Stage Adaptation by Dean Pitchford and Walter Bobbie; Lyrics by Dean Pitchford; Based on the original screenplay by Dean Pitchford; Additional Music by Eric Carmen, Sammy Hagar, Kenny Loggins and Jim Steinman
