BWW TV Exclusive: Swedish Superstar Peter Joback Joins Broadway's THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA

Peter Jöback was awarded a Swedish Tony for creating the role of Robert in Björn Ulvaeus' and Benny Andersson's musical Kristina, Peter was brought to London by Cameron Mackintosh to play Chris in Miss Saigon and later Michael in the original cast of The Witches of Eastwick. He received his second Swedish Tony as the Emcee in Cabaret. Peter has sold over one million albums, including the best-selling Swedish albums of 2006 and 2008, plus Scandinavia's best-selling Christmas album of all time. He's been nominated for three Swedish Grammy Awards and two of his TV specials have been nominated for the Silver Rose at the Rose d'Or Festival. In 2010, he performed at the Royal concert for Crown Princess Victoria's wedding. Peter's album La Vie, L'Amour, La Mort was accompanied by a 30-minute film with Peter at the helm of creative production. His upcoming album is I Love Musicals, which was also the name of his sold-out arena tour last year.

The musical opened at Her Majesty's Theatre on 9 October 1986 with Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman in the leading roles, and there have been dozens of productions worldwide since then. All applicants should have excellent writing skills and an interest for giving local theaters and productions some prominence on BroadwayWorld.com -- the largest theater site on the net!

As a Contributing Editor, you will have the opportunity to review the shows of your choice, conduct interviews with local and touring talent, design features of your own choosing for publishing, and work/network with your local theater press reps to bring exposure to the theatrical offerings in your area.

MEN WITHOUT HATS Confirm February 14 Sweden Concert

MEN WITHOUT HATS, the Canadian electronic rock group, best known for their iconic hit singles The Safety Dance and Pop Goes The Word, have confirmed a new concert in Stockholm on Valentine's Day (Feb 14th), as part of their first European Tour in 20 years.

The tour coincides with the release of their critically acclaimed album Love In The Age Of War, produced by Dave "Rave" Ogilvie (Skinny Puppy, Marilyn Manson). The tour starts at London's Islington o2 Academy on February 1st, followed by dates in Germany, Austria, Denmark, and Sweden (this will also mark the first time MWH have ever performed a concert in the UK).

1983's hit single The Safety Dance went Top 10 in the US, the UK and 25 other countries, and recently achieved cult status on The Simpsons, Glee, Family Guy and Futurama. In 1983, MWH were Grammy nominated for Best Group. In 2011, they performed at SXSW, followed by extensive 2012 North American tours with The B-52's and The Human League.

Hailing from Linköping, Sweden, GHOST formed in in 2008. They released their heralded debut album, Opus Eponymous, on October 18, 2011. UK's Metal Hammer praised the album saying it was "an arcane occult feast," while this side of the pond Decibel Magazine hailed they "compel on pretty much every sensory level," and the Village Voice proclaimed "GHOST is Swedish, heavy, and tasked with slicing your soul to bits--or at least your ears." In 2011, GHOST performed at the annual Download Festival in the United Kingdom.

The band's fanbase began to swell and not long after added some of Hard Rock's finest to this group. Additionally that year, GHOST took part in the Defenders of Faith III tour with Trivium, In Flames and Rise to Remain. In early 2012, they embarked on their first tour of the United States and later that year shared the stage with Mastodon and Opeth on their Heritage Hunter Tour in North America. That summer the band was invited by Metallica's James Hetfield to perform on the mainstage of Metallica's first annual Orion Music + More festival. Ghost will appear at the 2013 Soundwave Festival throughout Australia February 23rd - March 4th.

Bruce Kimmel's OUTSIDE THE BOX Web TV Series to Air Exclusively on BroadwayWorld.com
