The Fox On The Fairway is a charming screwball adventure about love, life, and man's eternal love affair with ... golf. Written by Ken Ludwig (Lend Me a Tenor, Moon Over Buffalo), the author hits a hole-in-one with his tribute to the great English farces of the 1930s and 1940s. Two rival country clubs, Quail Valley and Crouching Squirrel, prepare for their annual grudge match. A massive private wager is made between the two CEOs just before the best player switches teams. Filled with mistaken romance, dreadful attire, emotional mulligans and silly shenanigans, The Fox On The Fairway is a "tour-de-course" of rapid-fire chip shots and frenzied miscommunications.

THE LAST FIVE YEARS is a contemporary song-cycle musical that ingeniously chronicles the five year life of a marriage, from meeting to break-up... or from break-up to meeting, depending on how you look at it. Written by Jason Robert Brown	(PARADE, SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD), THE LAST FIVE YEARS is an intensely personal look at the relationship between a writer and an actress told from both points of view. This intimate musical is perfect for small theatre companies and black box venues. With its two-person cast, acting stamina is a must.

Laurel Little Theatre Presents 1776 This Week

1776 is based on the signing of our country's Declaration of Independence. We all know that the Declaration was written and signed, but just how it happened that hot humid summer in Philadelphia over two hundred years ago is an amazing story. Described as surprisingly funny and incredibly moving, this is a show not to miss!

Performances are this Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, May 15th-16th-17th-18th at 730PM and then a Sunday matinee onMay 19th is at 2PM.

Please note that we had originally posted possible holdover performances for May 25th-26th, but because so many of our cast members had Memorial Day vacations planned, we have cut those dates and instead have planned a possible holdover performance on Monday, May 20th at 730PM if it's needed.

Directors Wess Hughes and Frankie Bennett and Music Director Michelle Howells have been rehearsing the largest cast of men that we've ever had in a show - 25 dudes up there singing at full voice, and they're producing some really powerful sounds on our stage! The cast includes Ed Boone, Darrell Braddock, Landon Bryant, Jeremy Campbell, RoBert Clark, Kelton Cochran, Shane Cockrell, Ken Culpepper, Johnny Davis, Don Fikes, Brent Holifield, Frank Johnston, Kody Loper, Matt McCool, Dane McCormick, Danny McDonald, John Parker, Chase Rouse, Mark Sellers, Coty Shoemake, Ben Smith, Greg Smith, Jackie Thomas, Mike Travis and Rick Youngblood.

And just for a some much needed balance, to keep the men in line we also have Katelyn Bryant, Cathy Graham and Angie Hodge filling out the cast.

Our reservations line is now open and they answer 24 hours a day at 601.428.0140

Van Zandt and Milmore have done it again! This hilarious farce from the authors of Love, Sex and the I.R.S.have certainly come up with a novel setting: the play takes place in the bathroom in a home during a party, a handy place for gossip and hanky panky, where we learn of the wild and crazy things going on at the party. The authors have ingeniously contrived this play so that we feel that, if we had gone to this party we, too, might have spent most of our time hiding out in the bathroom!

A fresh take on one of Gilbert and Sullivan's most popular comic operas, this updated version of THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE took New York by storm when it premiered in Central Park in 1980, leading to a subsequent smash-hit Broadway run. Wacky, irreverent and as entertaining today as it was when it first opened in 1879, THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE spins an hilarious farce of sentimental pirates, bumbling policemen, dim-witted young lovers, dewy-eyed daughters and an eccentric Major-General, all morally bound to the often-ridiculous dictates of honor and duty. The beauty, wit and whimsy of Gilbert andSullivan's classic score is suffused with a modern sensibility, making this version an excellent choice for opera and light opera companies looking to expand their audience base. The sheer number of memorable roles makes it perfect for community and school groups. And with production requirements consisting of only two sets and a medium-sized orchestra, it should be considered by any company featuring comic actors with excellent singing voices.

Winner of the Tony "Triple Crown" for Best Musical, Best Score and Best Book, AVENUE Q is part flesh, part felt and packed with heart. AVENUE Q SCHOOL EDITION is a laugh-out-loud musical that tells the timeless story of a recent college grad named Princeton who moves into a shabby New York apartment all the way out on Avenue Q. He soon discovers that although the residents seem nice, it's clear that this is not your ordinary neighborhood. Together, Princeton and his new-found friends struggle to find jobs, dates, and their ever-elusive purpose in life.Because the original AVENUE Q has some content elements that have previously made it a difficult choice for some high school productions, MTI has worked with the AVENUE Q authors to create an adaptation that maintains the dramatic intention and integrity of the piece, while editing it to make it more appropriate for high school audiences and performers.

A down-and out skid row floral assistant becomes an overnight sensation
when he discovers an exotic plant with a mysterious craving for fresh
blood. Soon "Audrey II" grows into an ill-tempered, foul-mouthed,
R&B-singing carnivore who offers him fame and fortune in exchange
for feeding its growing appetite, finally revealing itself to be an
alien creature poised for global domination! One of the
longest-running Off-Broadway shows of all time, this affectionate spoof
of 1950s sci-fi movies has become a household name, thanks to a highly
successful film version and a score by the songwriting team of Howard Ashman and Alan Menken, who redefined the animated musical film with Disney's The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin. Charming, tuneful and hilarious, with tongue firmly planted in cheek, LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS never fails to entertain. A small cast, band and unit set make the other aspects of production a snap.

From John Wilkes Booth to Lee Harvey Oswald, writers Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman bend the rules of time and space, taking us on a nightmarish roller coaster ride in which assassins and would-be assassins from different historical periods meet, interact and inspire each other to harrowing acts in the name of the American Dream.ASSASSINS requires skilled singers who can act. This is an ideal choice for mature audiences and will challenge your designers as they try to recreate famous moments and people in America's history.

Remember when actors became American Presidents? When Bubble skirts andblue eye shadow were cool? When Atari was cutting edge technology ?

BACK TO THE 80's is a "totally awesome" musical that tells the story of the senior class of William Ocean High School that graduated in the 1980's, as remembered and seen through the eyes of Corey Palmer, who is now 30-something. Throw in a Star Wars dream sequence, high-energy dance routines, the obligatory 80's party scene, copious amounts of blue eye-shadow, twenty cans of hairspray, as well as some of the most popular songs ever written, and the result is a musical that will not only delight and amuse an audience of any age, but will also inspire any young cast.

Bold, original, disturbing, and alarmingly funny, ASSASSINS is perhaps the most controversial musical ever written. This American of musicals lays bare the lives of nine individuals who assassinated or tried to assassinate the President of the United States, in a one-act historical "revusical" that explores the dark side of the American experience. This is an ideal choice for mature audiences and will challenge your designers as they try to recreate famous moments and people in America's history.

Charming, tuneful and hilarious, with tongue firmly planted in cheek, LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS never fails to entertain. A small cast, band and unit set make the other aspects of production a snap.

An affectionate paean to Smalltown, U.S.A. of a bygone era, Meredith Willson's THE MUSIC MAN
follows fast-talking traveling salesman Harold Hill as he cons the
people of River City, Iowa into buying instruments and uniforms for a
boys' band he vows to organize - this despite the fact he doesn't know a
trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town with the cash are
foiled when he falls for Marian the librarian, who transforms him into a
respectable citizen by curtain's fall. Perfect for professional
theatres, community groups, summer stock and schools alike, this
award-winning, critically acclaimed Broadway classic is an all-American
institution, thanks to is quirky characters, charmingly predictable
dramatic situations, and one-of-a-kind, nostalgic score of rousing
marches, barbershop quartets and sentimental ballads which have become
popular standards. The cast features a soaring soprano ingenue, parts
for young performers and children, and one of the musical theatre's
treasures, a tour de force leading role for a charismatic actor who
doesn't need to be a trained singer. By turns wicked, funny, warm, romantic and touching, THE MUSIC MAN is family entertainment at its best.

This hilarious, roller skating, musical adventure about following your dreams despite the limitations others set for you, rolls along to the original hit score composed by pop-rock legends Jeff Lynne and John Farrar, and includes, "Magic", "All Over The World", "Suddenly", "I'm Alive", "Evil Woman", "Have You Never Been Mellow" and "Xanadu", to name a few, and is based on the Universal Pictures' cult classic movie of the same title, which starred Olivia Newton-John and Gene Kelly. The Brothers Grimm "go Broadway" as Sondheim and Lapine offer up a cockeyed fairy tale where all of your favorite characters"?Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack (and his beanstalk) and The Witch"?meet and interact on their journeys. With unforgettable roles, little dancing and no chorus, INTO THE WOODS JR. showcases a medium-sized ensemble of talented singers and actors. The sophisticated score has been adapted to make it easier--though still challenging--for young performers. INTO THE WOODS JR. is a funny and engaging way to get young people to think about the stories with which they've grown up and the ethical issues raised therein.

Billed as the next chapter in the classic American story on stage, In the Heights tells the universal story of a vibrant community in Manhattan's Washington Heights - a place where the coffee from the corner bodega is light and sweet, the windows are always open, and the breeze carries the rhythm of three generations of music. It's a community on the brink of change, full of hopes, dreams and pressures, where the biggest struggles can be deciding which traditions you take with you, and which ones you leave behind. Written by Lin-Manuel Miranda, this hip musical will win audiences over with its sweet story and hot tunes.
