Official Groundbreaking for New Associated Bank Theater Center May 11
The official groundbreaking for the new Associated Bank Theater Center will take place on Saturday, May 11, 2024, just before Milwaukee Rep’s annual Curtain Call Ball celebration. We are currently at 92% of this once-in-a-generation $78M Powering Milwaukee Capital Campaign. The goal has increased to $78M from the originally announced $75M in the fall of 2022 due to inflationary cost increases. In addition, a ‘Power to the Finish: Seat Naming Campaign’ has been launched with all new or increased gifts to be matched dollar for dollar given before May 11, 2024.

Milwaukee Rep names new Powerhouse Theater for philanthropists Ellen and Joe Checota in the future Associated Bank Theater Center. The Checota’s gift is the second largest in Milwaukee Rep’s history.
Milwaukee Rep names new Studio Theater for philanthropists David Herro and Jay Franke
Philanthropists David Herro and his partner and Rep trustee Jay Franke have donated $5 million. Of which $4 million will go to our Powering Milwaukee Campaign and $1 million will go to support the John (Jack) D. Lewis New Play Development Program. For their generosity, we are pleased to name our flexible, backbox theater the Herro-Franke Studio Theater.
