JO KOY: LIVE FROM BROOKLYN to Premiere on Netflix in June

Netflix has announced that the comedy special Jo Koy: Live From Brooklyn will premiere globally on June 4, 2024. The special was filmed at The Kings Theatre in Brooklyn, NY in November 2023. This marks Koy’s fifth special with Netflix, following Live From The Los Angeles Forum (2022), Comin’ In Hot (2019),  and Live From Seattle (2017), in addition to his variety special In His Elements (2020).

Harry Lawtey to Play Richard Burton in Upcoming Film MR. BURTON

According to Deadline, Harry Lawtey, an actor who will next appear in Joker: Folie A Deux, has been cast as Tony-Award-winning actor Richard Burton in an upcoming film that will center on the actor as a young man. Lawtey will appear alongside Toby Jones and Lesley Manville in the film.

Jeremy Strong Circling Bruce Springsteen Biopic DELIVER ME FROM NOWHERE

According to Variety, Tony-Award-nominated actor Jeremy Strong may be appearing alongside Jeremy Allen White in the upcoming biopic of Bruce Springsteen. In the film, the Enemy of the People star would play Jon Landau, the longtime manager of Springsteen (White). Strong is currently starring in the Broadway play, for which he was nominated for his first Tony Award.

Greg Daniels and Michael Koman to Create Peacock Comedy Set in the Same Universe as THE OFFICE

A new comedy from NBC’s The Office adapter Greg Daniels and Nathan for You co-creator Michael Koman has been picked up to series at Peacock. The Untitled Daniels/Koman project is a new mockumentary series set in the same universe as NBC’s Emmy Award-winning hit series The Office.

Disney Branded Television has released the main title theme song and announced the premiere date for the highly anticipated animated musical series “Disney Jr.’s Ariel.” Inspired by “The Little Mermaid,” the series will debut on THURSDAY, JUNE 27, on Disney Junior (9:00 a.m. EDT/PDT) and air on Disney Channel later that day, with an initial batch of eight episodes available on Disney+ the following day, FRIDAY, JUNE 28. According to reports, Faye Dunaway and Harvey Keitel will be starring together in a new supernatural romance film from director Jonathan Baker. Actor Andrew McCarthy of The Blacklist will also be appearing in the film. The plot of the movie, titled Fate, is being kept under wraps but is reported to be set at a 'Vista hotel', taking its inspiration from the historic Vista Theatre in Los Angeles, now owned by Quentin Tarantino.
