Besides the Hudson Theatre, do you see any new Broadway theaters being built or brought back any time soon. I know the Mark Hellinger could be a lost cause. But, It would be the ultimate gain for any of the 3 Big theatre owners. Also, any word on the new theatre the Shuberts were rumored to be building?

I know the Shuberts bought the land on 46th, but that was the last I heard anything.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the Ambassador Theatre Group recently buy the Times Square Theatre on 42nd Street with plans to complete the renovation and reopen it as a legitimate Broadway house?

They did, but I have not heard much about it in a couple months. They canceled the project and then brought it back.

According to Riedel's Razzle Dazzle, the new Shubert theater has been put on hold for now given that construction was expected to cost $150 million.

The premise of the OP is wrong. The 3 landlords are happy with the current inventory. Only people who don't know what they are doing are opening new theatres and we can see how that's going.

There was a theater there called the Klaw. Unfortunately, in a bit of nearsightedness, it was torn down years ago.
