I think that the Souvenir Program will be the book.
I appoligise for any spelling mistakes. I may be on my mobile. Clumsy fingers and small little touchscreen keys don't mixx. I try to spellcheck, but I may miss something.
Thank you, haterobics, for those of us who lack Twitter.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
Actually, it is one of the most beautiful souvenir programs I've seen. It seems like it's a thicker paper material with some translucent paper. Plus the shadow photography is truly stunning.
They're really not the same thing. PLAYBILL is a magazine and aside from the information about the particular show you are seeing the other content is pretty much uniform (ads, articles, etc.)
A souvenir program is larger, almost always in full color featuring production photos from the show and sometimes more detailed information about the show, the cast and creatives. A program does not have advertisements or articles that have absolutely nothing to do with the show.
How much does this program cost at the show? On the website the shipping is $13 and I feel like that's way too much for a souvenir program (plus it's not even fast shipping, it says please allow 2-4 weeks). I wish this was available on amazon.
On a happier note, the book about the making of Hamilton is available for preorder here.

And doesn't have color photographs, and often doesn't have production photos, and has way less liner-notes-type copy.

Thanks for letting me know. $33 for the program with shipping is kind of ridiculous. I could buy a mug too I guess (to justify the shipping).
An audio-book of the making of a musical is so meta. Just Lin-Manuel Miranda (and others??) talking about the making of Hamilton. I'm looking forward to the book so much.
