I sat in row H Seat 2, and the view as excellent, and I could make out facial expressions clearly from there. The view was so good, we decided from now on the "cheap seats" at the Winter Garden would be our first choice!
Looking at tickets for tonight and debating between the back center of orchestra, or side of the mezzanine. I'm worried I might miss something with the overhang of the mezzanine though if I sit in the orchestra. Has anyone seen the show from the back of the orchestra? How was the view? Thanks!
Quick questions for anyone who has seen School of Rock:
Is there anything wrong with far side orchestra seats, especially in the first few rows? I've been digging around here for a while but have not been able to find much information. If you sat in extreme side orchestra seats, what was your experience?
I have done this a few times. I think i was in the fifth row on the end for rush tickets nothing is blocked (or very little) and in my case there was no seat in front of me so more leg room. When I go alone I ask for that seat.
If I want to go for the extreme side seats (discounted, for example F24), would it be better to do front/rear orchestra or mezz? How partial view are those seats? Thanks so much for any input!

As some people have mentioned, though, the mezzanine is also really good. While it isn't steep (it only goes back to row J at its farthest point) it is very wide.
You have to worry about being too far to the side if you want a great view. For that reason they do not sell the last couple of seats in the lower mezzanine rows (where it is particularly wide), do not sell the boxes, and removed some side seats from the orchestra.
What specific seat numbers are you looking at, and what is the price difference if any?
