Randomly noticed that Fun Home is dark tonight (and making it up with an evening show on Sunday). Anyone know why? Just curious.

They have an evening performance on Sunday to take advantage of the holiday weekend.

Many (but not all) shows have a weird schedule this week....it's best to check and not assume there are shows during and around holidays..
I can't tell you how many times I showed up at a theater at the wrong time or day because of a holiday. I think I've learned to check now...

I noticed that some shows did the same thing, too. I believe Something Rotten, Gentleman's Guide, Hamilton, and other shows have evening performances added on Sunday because of Columbus Day.

Yes I noticed that Kinky Boots actually cancelled both shows today and instead had one on Monday and will have an extra on Sunday.

How early do producers decide these things? Months? Weeks? Just wondering...

It occasionally changes close to the dates... but usually months in advance.
For example, I was just looking at the Kinky Boots calendar and it has a diff schedule for the winter months already set. It's posted on their website. It has a diff schedule for Jan-Mar and then changes again for the spring.

Same with Hamilton. They already have their summer schedule out (back to Monday - Saturday like this summer starting around the 4th of July)

I was SURE I saw Beth Malone in the audience of An American in Paris last night, but I thought I must just be seeing things! Glad to know I'm not crazy and that actually might have been her.
