Looking for some good restaurant suggestions near Lincoln Center. Proximity to Lincoln Center, price range, and food quality are all welcomed! Thanks!

Sad to say, I have yet to find one in that area. I suppose Rosa Mexicano is acceptable, if overpriced. I always find it best to eat somewhere on 9th or 10th Avenue in Hell's Kitchen, and make time to walk up to LC.

The Smith is great, if only for the banana pudding.

There are reasonable options ten blocks up around W. 72nd St. Whatever was reasonable and hospitable has been chased out of the area due to high rent. Lincoln Center hasn't exactly stepped in to the fill the gap giving its visitors the current neighborhood choice of either prohibitively expensive or no place to sit.

Cafe Fiorello is across the street from Lincoln Center.  The food is very good & very consistent, in my experience - albeit a bit pricey. They also take reservations which is a big plus.

I've had several good meals at Bar Boulud. They also have a prix fixe menu.

I like Rosa Mexicana. The food is great and interesting.  And the prices are on the higher side, but not too bad.

I always have a problem getting a reservation for a party with an odd number of people with their online reservation service. I can put in for three people at a certain time and it comes back saying 'none available'. If I put in for a party of four for the same time, it works. I guess they don't like to waste a table for 4 on just three people. So I always book for four or six, etc, making it an even number. When we arrive I just tell them someone dropped out at the last minute.

Another vote for Rosa. I like the view at Robert at the Museum of Art and Design and the steak house at Columbus Circle.

My favorites in the area moderately priced + for NYC but not cheap are:

P.J. Clarke's  -American Burgers etc. great bar casual

The Smith - American I always get the steak frites, lively-loud atmosphere

Fiorello - expensive but great Italian and thin crust pizzas, salads superb service

Rosa Mexicano - A must for excellent mexican lots of fun

Is Lincoln (the restaurant) no longer decent? I've only been there for lunch and the last time was more than a year ago. You can't get much closer.

"Those are true words, no good restaurants in the area. But I also don't like eating in Hell's Kitchen. Most restaurants are crowded, have bad service(because they are crowded), and the food isn't good and so aren't the prices. I recommend eating on the East Side if possible.

You specifically asked for "best". Probably , Jean Georges, Per Se. Picholine is wonderful, Asiate, Telepan.

If on the other hand you didn't mean "best", but good and inexpensive, you've been given some good options.

For something a little different, try Andanada on 69th, just off Columbus. It's Spanish. Excellent paella. One Michelin star. Good bar.

They also serve brunch on Saturday and Sunday, and are open until midnight on Friday and Saturday, if you prefer to eat after the show.

We live in the neighborhood and go often.

Another couple of options are across the street from each other on West 71st off Columbus: Pasha (Turkish) and Santa Fe (Southwestern)
