Sad to say, I have yet to find one in that area. I suppose Rosa Mexicano is acceptable, if overpriced. I always find it best to eat somewhere on 9th or 10th Avenue in Hell's Kitchen, and make time to walk up to LC.
There are reasonable options ten blocks up around W. 72nd St. Whatever was reasonable and hospitable has been chased out of the area due to high rent. Lincoln Center hasn't exactly stepped in to the fill the gap giving its visitors the current neighborhood choice of either prohibitively expensive or no place to sit.

Cafe Fiorello is across the street from Lincoln Center. The food is very good & very consistent, in my experience - albeit a bit pricey. They also take reservations which is a big plus.
I like Rosa Mexicana. The food is great and interesting. And the prices are on the higher side, but not too bad.
I always have a problem getting a reservation for a party with an odd number of people with their online reservation service. I can put in for three people at a certain time and it comes back saying 'none available'. If I put in for a party of four for the same time, it works. I guess they don't like to waste a table for 4 on just three people. So I always book for four or six, etc, making it an even number. When we arrive I just tell them someone dropped out at the last minute.

"Those are true words, no good restaurants in the area. But I also don't like eating in Hell's Kitchen. Most restaurants are crowded, have bad service(because they are crowded), and the food isn't good and so aren't the prices. I recommend eating on the East Side if possible.
