Really? I'm a huge fan of the musical...seen it 22 times to date. But I didn't think the movie gave it justice. You just same mirror the energy you get in the live show. I can't imagine a Mamma Mia 2 movie.
Love Streep's singing voice (love that she gets cast in countless musicals), love the movie MAMMA MIA to death, I'd be there opening night even if it ends up being the SEX & THE CITY 2 of the year it comes out... Streep will never do it though, unless they can get everyone else on board.
"Some people can thrive and bloom living life in a living room, that's perfect for some people of one hundred and five. But I at least gotta try, when I think of all the sights that I gotta see, all the places I gotta play, all the things that I gotta be at"
Jordan Catalano said: "Enough with Meryl singing. She has an "ok" voice - not a voice good enough to warrant countless movie musicals."
True, but for an actress as wonderful as she is (and I truly think Streep is one of the greatest living actors), having a "pretty good" voice (in my opinion) makes her much more appropriate for starring in a few (2, to date) movie musicals than most other actors.
"Contentment, it seems, simply happens. It appears accompanied by no bravos and no tears."
