Headed to NYC in a couple weeks and had hoped to catch Hamilton while there.  I've been randomly checking Ticketmaster to see if new tickets get released, and tonight was my lucky night!

Unfortunately, Ticketmaster doesn't allow single seats to be left over, even when there are literally only two seats available - so I just bought the pair and am banking on selling the second one.  Here are the details:

Center Orchestra, Row W.  Says it's Partial View...hoping it's not too Partial or I may have to just unload both and try again on a future trip!  For the fine folks of this board and to avoid any ill-will, I'd just like to get literally half of what I just paid back.  That equates to $178.35.

I'm having the tickets mailed to me (I'm very anti-Print at Home) so I can either meet you in the city August 9 or 10 to make the exchange if you want a hard ticket, accept payment via PayPal and ship once I get them (would ask you to cover cost of shipping), or accept payment and electronically transfer the ticket to you.  PM if interested, please be patient if I don't respond immediately as I'm unable to check the boards during the day.  Thanks!

If you call Ticketmaster, they will sell you a single.

Are you saying that for a partial view ticket in the last row of the orchestra on a Monday night, they are asking $356.70 PER SEAT? Or does the "half of what you paid" refer to both tickets you bought which would be 100% of what you paid for the one ticket you are trying to sell? I don't have any issue with someone trying to get back all of what they paid for a ticket if they can but your wording implies you are selling the ticket for 50% of what you paid for that one ticket unless you paid $713.40 for the pair.  Can you clarify?

Sure Bob, thanks for asking. This is what I get for posting after my bedtime!  The $178.35 is the full cost for one ticket, including half of the TM fees that were added. The "half of what I paid" was referring to have of the grand total, which was 356.70 for two tickets.

Hater, I know that I could've tried that, but the automated phone system wouldn't let me and they only have live people during normal business hours. Didn't want to risk losing out as my next trip is in November and there are no performances on the date I have open.

If you have a hard time selling the ticket in advance, especially with it being a hard copy ticket, I'm guessing you'll have no problem getting rid of it on the day of the show in person.

I had to unload an extra ticket to Fun Home on the day of a couple weeks ago and had no luck online so I just got to the theater early, about 7:10 and found someone in the lobby who was waiting for the cancellation line to open. I got full price for the ticket. Now Circle in the Square might have been an easier place to do that - but I think the trick was being there early before you have the line waiting outside to get in.
