Since On the Town will be outta there soon, is it true that a holiday show will go in next? What show exactly? and will Cirque du Solei take it in the spring?

Ask the industry people you claim to know and/or sleep with.

No producer in his right mind should take it. Unless it is for Cirque the theater is simply to big for a show to make a go of it .

*On the Town stays open for two-more years just because Pinto said it would close*

What even is your issue with On the Town? You seem to have some sort of bad blood with this production and/or this show. Leave it alone, it's not hurting anyone, seriously.

There's almost never been a successful production in this theater, I don't know who in the right mind would want that airplane hanger.

Disney could put Frozen there.

If memory serves me correctly, 42nd Street came close to recouping at the Lyric, which tells me one thing. If any show is to be a success there, it needs to be a BIG show. And the massive popularity of Frozen on its own could do the trick.

I've heard a lot of talk about Cirque Du Soleil taking residency in the theater soon. It's going to be part of a big new project in the company. Not sure if theyre buying or renting.

Ive always said that Disney should buy the Lyric. However, it seems like they don't like having more than 2 of their shows on broadway at once. Thats why Beauty and the Beast closed-for Mermaid. And Marry Poppins closed for Aladdin. Even though Tarzan, Marry Poppins, Beauty, and Lion King all ran at the same time once.

Aida ran simultaneously with Beauty and the Beast and The Lion King as well as Lion King, Mary Poppins and Newsies running together for a time. If there is a 2 show rule it is recent.

What about a Broadway transfer or Charlie and the Chocolate Factory? Surely a show of that size and a story with that much recognition can survive a decent amount of time in that theater.

^ I think Charlie and the Chocolate Factory needs to be heavily reworked before it comes anywhere near Broadway.

No normal show can survive in that barn of a theater.

^ The Charlie team + Mendes have said that they are aware the show needs re working and are going to do that. It seems their aiming for a late 2016 bow.

I definitely don't think Chitty has as much name recognition as Charlie/Willy Wonka but I do agree no matter the recognition there's little hope for a show there.

I don't think anything can save Chocolate Factory, it's a huge mess of a show, reworking won't help it

Well I didn't want to get into it, but he's a Satanist. Every full moon he sacrifices 4 puppies to the Dark Lord and smears their blood on his paino. This should help you understand the score for Wicked a little bit more. Tazber's: Reply to Is Stephen Schwartz a Practicing Christian
