You know, I try to be positive when a show is announced, but...No, I just can't do it with this one.

You know, in a strange way, I could see this working.

I either see this being incredibly campy, or having so many in jokes and references to the films and books that most people in the audience will feel left out.

How many threads do we need about this

It could be a combination of both, but I think if it leans more towards campy it could find some sort of audience.

I've never seen any of the movies.

I picture James Bond singing in a Sinatra Style with the song choices being similar to the ones used in the movie themes. Now the plot needs to be personal. It can not have the feel of a classic James Bond movie. By that I mean it should not be just another mission. It needs to be something that will draw emotions from the characters that could be best expressed through music.

I think the only way to do it would be a serious musical. The Bond franchise has been spoofed enough, thank you.

What is your opinion on possible story lines? Also I would think that a James Bond musical would be grand in scale so I wonder what theater would be ideal. I would also love to hear opinions on the casting of Bond.

I don't know about a more personal storyline, whenever the films took that approach I found it to be really dreary.

This is the worst idea for a musical since Shogun.

MGM says a musical is NOT in the works so let's stop making threads about it.

Which one?

The 1960's cult disaster or the Daniel Craig one?

There was buzz about an Austin Powers musical a while back, I had thought- could that be a better choice for the stage?
