I'm sorry but isn't this like your THIRD attempt at selling tickets to this show? I swear I've seen your post about front row center orch seats pop up at least twice before in which people tell you to sell them on stub hub or call the box office to try and get a new date...
Yes, Hairspray0901 I've posted three times over the last couple weeks asking if anyone is interested in these tickets (I wasn't aware that was somehow illegal). Absolutely no one has ever responded to my posts - so perhaps you have me confused with someone else. And, yes, I did call the box office and try to get a new date - they will not do anything for me. I am truly sorry if my posts are annoying you or if I am breaking some rule I did not know existed. Please forgive me...
Fairchild doesn't play Wednesday nights I believe, so you would have a great case for exchanging/refunding the tix by noting you wanted to see him and he was scheduled to play that performance when you purchased the tix. I believe they would do something for you if presented in this way. good luck!
Thanks for the suggestion Michael19. Unfortunately, my boyfriend who bought the tickets actually already tried that - he explained that he bought the tickets months ago when Fairchild had no announced alternate - and no regularly scheduled absence. He explained the alternate started doing Wednesday evenings after the Tonys and that he specifically bought me the tickets to see Robbie Fairchild. Ticketmaster basically said "well, that's the risk you take when you buy tickets to a Broadway show". He also tried going to the box office with the cardiologist's note about my surgery on Wednesday but they wouldn't do anything for him. Telecharge has been good to us in the past when we've had problems - but apparently Ticketmaster is completely uncompromising.
I think StubHub would be your best bet. Good luck!

My apologies; I thought you were posting about selling tickets for three different dates. Not illegal. Again, I'm sorry. Definitely try stub hub. Sorry they won't exchange them for you; ticket master is a big pain!
