The line-up this year is more exciting than last year IMO. I'll definitely be getting tickets for Judy Kuhn, Norm Lewis, Megan Hilty, Sondheim/Reich, Allison Williams and the Songs of Ben Toth.
If I can afford it I may also see Billy Porter, Barbara Cook, Shovels & Rope, Shaina Taub and San Fermin. Don't know much about the last three but could be interesting.
My Lincoln Center mailer originally had Steven Pasquale listed but inserted that ominous white slip indicating that he had to bow out. Bummer. Maybe next year?
Anyhow, who are you excited to see this year?

There are usually a few price levels for these concerts. The most expensive seats are the cabaret-style tables down front, close to the stage. I think those can run $100+. Then there are several rows of seats behind the table-seating area, and I think those are prices based on how close/far they are from the stage. The last time I went to an American Songbook concert (a couple years ago), I think I paid about $45 and was in one of the last few rows. That said, the Appel Room isn't that big, and there isn't really a bad seat or section in the house.
Don't quote me on this, but there also might be opportunities for reduced-price tickets day-of or close to the day of the performance if the show isn't sold out. I seem to remember that a few years ago.
