Broadway Swabs was started to help the Broadway Community get involved with the world's largest bone marrow donor center (DKMS) #broadwayswabs

Every 4 minutes in the U.S., someone is diagnosed with a blood cancer. For many patients, a bone marrow transplant is the best chance for survival. While 30% of patients can find a matching donor in their families, 70%—approximately 14,000 each year—must rely on a benevolent stranger to step up and donate. Learn more about blood cancer and how bone marrow donation can delete it. Then register for your chance to give a patient a second chance at life.

My cousin got a bone-marrow transplant a year ago for Myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS), the same pre-leukemia that ABC's Robin Roberts survived. She is surviving now and doing well some days, but without the bone-marrow transplant, she would not have been.

You might consider changing the subject line here to something like "Broadway Swabs! Helping BroadwayWorld Become Bone Marrow Donors" since no one knows what "Broadway Swabs" means until after they click.
