An entertaining, surprisingly old-school play (surprising for Playwrights Horizons, that is), set in a Bronx soup kitchen, that goes for sitcomy laughs over drama, giving its more serious subjects (loss of faith, mental illness, abuse) something of a "very special episode" TV gloss. Absolutely terrific performances from the cast of four (Quincy Tyler Bernstine, Bobby Moreno, Lee Wilkof, Ismenia Mendes) make the trip worthwhile.
