Her name is Carmen Ruby Floyd. She'll be a young Mama Morton. On another note, Amra Faye Wright became an American citizen. Carmen Ruby Floyd
"Noel [Coward] and I were in Paris once. Adjoining rooms, of course. One night, I felt mischievous, so I knocked on Noel's door, and he asked, 'Who is it?' I lowered my voice and said 'Hotel detective. Have you got a gentleman in your room?' He answered, 'Just a minute, I'll ask him.'" (Beatrice Lillie)
Now, if we could only get a new Velma (cough, cough).

It has to be a mistake. Bianca Marroquin will probably play Roxie in some limited tour stops. Ann Horak was the previous lead Roxie during the most recent tour segment,so chances are she'll do that again. Terra C MacLeod IS the tour Velma. She is awesome and fabulous! For Billy Flynn, there's always the possibility that John O Hurley and Brent Barrett might share the tour stops. Jason Patrick Sands went on as Billy in a few cities, during the most recent tour. There are plenty of Mary Sunshines to choose from: quite possibly D. Micchiche will do the role once more. I don't know who'll be the touring Mama Morton. I saw Kecia Lewis at a Dallas tour stop. She was fantastic. I'm not sure who might be cast as Amos. There is a good chance that Lindsay Roginski will be the Roxie understudy. In any case, I'll be seeing the tour when it stops in San Antonio from Jan. 27-Feb. 1st.

Carmen. Fine. I saw her as Gary in Ave Q, good performance. But honestly seems like a safe choice.
Don't understand why they've never bought other ladies, who are 'names" into the Broadway production.
Melba Moore was a fun Mama on tour, saw her first performance, her vocals were insane. Lynda Carter - Wonder Woman did it in London, bring her to Broadway. She was enjoyable. Lea Delaria - did it originally on tour, she was butch and fierce, never had a Broadway stint. Ya think they'd try to woo her for a mama stint esp w all the "orange is the new black" exposure "Big Boo is Mama Morton!"
Thrilled for Carmen! Her "Creole Love Call" in AFTER MIDNIGHT was spectacular that acting in a song with no lyrics was (for me) the highlight of that show, and i LOVED that show. What a presence and what a voice - thrilled to see her land a principle role on Broadway! She is a fantastic talent.
