Does anyone know if there will be a limited engagement of a holiday show like A Christmas Story play the Palace Theatre. American in Paris only starts in March, and i'd hate to see this theatre dark for alllll those months.

I would imagine that they may have to un-do the renovation they did for Holler, if they haven't already. With a build and some tech rehearsals I guess it wouldn't be totally out of the question that it would be dark- it is a shame as it's prime real estate!

It’s the middle of September. If anything for the fall/holidays were coming in, it would have been announced by now. The Palace will just sit dormant until American in Paris.

You never know, truly. Plenty of shows come out of nowhere, and I've heard differently for the Palace. We shall see.

It would be such a shame not to use it for a holiday show. Last year I wanted to see "A Christmas Story" again but refused to go to that awful Theater at Madison Square Garden. I'll never return to that venue even if given comps.

There will be either a star-driven dramatic version of "A Christmas Carol" or various concerts by different artists.

Maybe Linda Eder or Il Divo something like that will play a Christmas set.

"Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion's starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don't see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often it's not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it's always there - fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge - they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I've got a sneaky feeling you'll find that love actually is all around."
