Has anyone sat on either of the extreme sides of the orchestra for Side Show? There are a few tickets left in the first few rows of the orchestra for closing night that I'm looking at but they are on far side aisle. They're full price on the Kennedy Center's site so I'm assuming they are full view, just wondering if it's better to sit very close and to the side or in the very rear but centered. I have already seen the production so I'm not nessisarily worried about missing anything but I don't want to make the trip only to be upset by the seat. Thanks for helping with my insanity ya'll!

Without bread we'd just be hungry but without theatre we'd be dead

For an intimate show those seats are fine. I sat there during Solomon and Marion and loved it. But for a show like Side Show, I think seats further back and more centered would be preferable! Just because there are things happening all over the stage.

Edit: disregard what I just said... I just realized Solomon and Marion was in the Sidney Harman Hall not the Eisenhower Theatre. Updated On: 7/11/14 at 05:09 AM

I would go up higher. We sat front row of the balcony and had great great great seats.

"Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion's starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don't see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often it's not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it's always there - fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge - they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I've got a sneaky feeling you'll find that love actually is all around."

Further back would be better. The theatre is intimate so you won;t feel like you are miles away. Even after looking at photos of the Eisenhower Theatre I was shocked at how intimate it feels when you are really in there.

I'd say further back is better, too, because the sound in there is not great when you are too close. Between hearing the orchestra at full blast and the fact that the sound is aimed for the back wall, if you are in maybe the first five rows, it is difficult to hear the words when the number is bombastic. "I Will Never Leave You" sounds great even up close... "The Devil You Know" not so much...
