Delayed and I see they increased the post opening ticket price by $20. Guess that is pure economics, supply and demand.

How about 1 performance @ $500 a ticket.

I just want it to be sold out so standing room will be offered.

I have a question about this:
I bought tickets for November 16th, which originally was supposed to be an actual performance and not a preview. Now that the show has been delayed, the November 16th show is at the same time, but is now considered a preview. Do I get a refund for my tickets or am I just forced to see the show as a preview now?
Thanks in advance!

^ You're forced to see a preview. Though if it really bothers you to see a preview I would call Telecharge and ask. Worth a shot.

A preview is an "actual performance", btw. No difference. Updated On: 7/8/14 at 10:25 AM

Ok, thanks for your help! Is a preview pretty much like a dress rehearsal then? Sorry, I'm not a seasoned theater-goer, so I'm not really familiar with the lingo :)

Nope, not at all. A preview performance is an actual, paid, audience attended performance, not a rehearsal. The only difference is that it's before "opening night", so changes can be made and the reviews from critics haven't been published yet. Though considering this is not a new play, I don't imagine many changes will be made.

kbrough24, Telecharge will allow an exchange, I've done it in the past, they cancel your original order and then place the new order. As long as your tickets were purchased thru Telecharge and not a broker. They'll do it over the phone for you. I am in the same boat as you, bought a post opening ticket and now it is a preview. I am not going to exchange mine because I like my seat and there is not another comparable one available on the dates I was looking to go. Plus it would cost me another 20 bucks since the price went up.

Mr Roxy, Wow,$500! I hope that price includes a Bradley Cooper lap dance : )

Wow. Neon, I guess you've never seen a preview with stops, starts, or not worked out technical issues involving sets… and paid full price for it even though they call it a preview.

You're lucky.

i am in the same boar as both kbrough24 and luv2go2shows.

I have tickets for November 18th which was originally post-opening but is now a preview performance. I've been to many previews of shows and have learned that I much prefer to go after opening (the whole reason I got them for the 18th) so I'll be calling telecharge. Hopefully they'll make an exchange!

They should, if you get a customer service rep who gives you a hard time ask for a supervisor.

I was tempted to do the same, but like I said when I looked at availability and the increased ticket price I decided to keep my fairly decent seat.

When I saw If/Then as a preview, the script was changing just about every performance.

Question: Will Bradley Cooper pull it off? I know he's done fine work, but will he master the accent?

Audrey, the Phantom Phanatic, who nonetheless would rather be Jean Valjean, who knew how to make lemonade out of lemons.

I am in the same boat. I think I am going to keep my now-preview ticket, though. One thing that is true here that isn't true for most revivals is that the leads have already played the roles (in Williamstown in 2012), so they probably have a better handle on their roles than you might see otherwise.

"What was the name of that cheese that I like?" "you can't run away forever...but there's nothing wrong with getting a good head start" "well I hope and I pray, that maybe someday, you'll walk in the room with my heart"

I ended up exchanging. Had 3rd row center mezzanine and was able to get orchestra row L on a center aisle for a date in December. Just crossing my fingers now that it won't snow! The telecharge woman was very nice and spoke with someone about the extra $20. She asked if they could void it but her superior said yesterday they had the same "problem" yesterday when someone asked about it and nothing could be done, which is understandable. Nice of her to ask, though.

? about the Sunday opening night (or Sunday opening nights in general): will the show time still be the usual matinee time of 3 pm?

Saw the original and no desire to see this version.

By delaying the opening they can raise the prices a few more times.

Is this show going to be sold out?

What a ridiculous statement, Roxy. They need NO reason to raise prices. If sales are going well, they will. Supply and demand.
