Ok weird request, it's either gonna seem creepy it very romantic, and perhaps someone on here can help me... So I accidentally flirted with the guy working at les miz's merch stand at the immediate entrance of the theatre (Not the far one near the actual theatre entrance) when attempting to purchase the souvenir program, then during intermission of my show, bullets, I ran back to get the les Miz bag, I know a weird thing to want but still, so I ran into him again, and we talked briefly about my thoughts on bullets and a few other topics before I had to rush back. After my show got out I worked up the courage to go and talk to him again, using my review of bullets as an excuse as to why I'd go back, we chatted and I got his name, but nothing else, no number or last name etc... And now it's really bothering me cuz I kinda wanted to ask him out, but it's really not my style, plus I was so nervous. Basically I'm here to see if anyone knows this guy, or could find out his full name, as his first name is andrew. I'm almost positive this is not the way to go about this, but I figure who knows maybe some one on here knows him, etc. like I said earlier this is either creepy and stalkerish, or it's me trying to be really romantic, and fix an egregious mistake on my part. So if anyone can help or cares to as this is an odd request for a message board, though let's face it we've all seen weirder on here, I'd appreciate any help.

I literally asked Twitter the same question after meeting the guy at the Wednesday matinee about the one by the house doors, not the 45th Street doors. (Are we talking about the same one?) He was very sweet and I flirted a little bit too. So I don't blame you.

Since you don't need a ticket to into the lobby, why not just walk into the theatre, maybe pretend you're getting another piece of merchandise?

It'd be kinda embarassing if it the sane guy, at least for us right. He had brown hair, facial hai, we'll groomed facial hair, blue eyes, his name is andrew that much I know. I wonder if the day u saw it he was working the back merch table, Maube he does both. I'd be way too nervous to go back, like if I did I'd have to ask for his number or something... I'm not sure I could, I'd be far too embarrassed and nervous.

I feel your pain. I am always WAY too nervous and shy to even talk to a guy I think is cute, let alone asking him for his # or asking him out. I wish you luck and hope things work out for you.

lol.... that's funny! I should have known better. Here is what you do... you write him a nice card/note and you give it to him. Go to Papyrus. Gay Men love Papyrus cards. Tell him he should open it when he has time. Invite him out for coffee in the card but don't be too shy. Let him know you find him attractive and would like to get to know him better. How's that?

Aw. I want us to see this one through. qafgenius122, you have to go back and ask him out. It's almost always nerve-racking and weird and awkward at the start. And everyone faces rejection.

Or there's always CL missed connections. That actually worked for me once when I was too oblivious to realize at the time that an adorable guy was flirting with me in line at Trader Joe's, but that's a rare exception it seems, so I think you're better off going back to the Imperial in the near future.

Post this on the "bitching post" on Audition Update ( www.auditionupdate.com ) it's a website that a lot of actors use. The "bitching post" is basically just the like free message board part of the site. I'm sure if you post - with an email or something - someone will respond. This has to be someone's friend, etc. I'm sure if he's working merch he's probably an actor.

Just stand in front of the theatre when the curtain goes up and log onto Grindr. Of course, you only get 200 squares and with all the theatres on 45th, you may need to lress your hody against the glass for him to show up in the feed, but hey...

So I took the advice if posters here and made posts on both Craigslist missed connections and audition update, so maybe something will come if that... Now I will be back in Manhattan seeing a show (holler if ya hear me) on Thursday night, so that might be my chance to redeem myself, although I would be and am already nervous and pretty embarrassed about having to potentially go back with no real intention other than to get his number or at least a last name... If anything I might send a friend in on my behalf...either way I feel like I'm gonna come off as strange and creepy, even though my intentions are not that at all, we will see, ideally someone somewhere finds him for me first and I can safely message him online, before possibly facing bad news in person. Thanks again everyone and any info still helps.

Just stop by. Your excuse is you are in town seeing Holler and you just wanted to say hello. If he is interested, that should further the conversation. Then say, the next time I'm in the city, would you like to have coffee. Then if he is really interested, you will exchange numbers. On another note, I'm giving you advice for something in a million years I wouldn't do. I'm usually clueless to people who are interested in me. And have no game myself. DO NOT SEND THE FRIEND. Good luck.

I would assume you are both of the same age-he,selling merch. so is an 'out there' sort of guy and you a shy timid not very experienced gay young man attracted to this spunk. He is obviously used to a lot of attention AND flirting so could be quite the tease and knows how to work a room. I think you should admire from afar because I don't think your two worlds will collide. If he is interested he will ask for YOUR number so just enjoy the flirtation-that does wonders for the ego and doesn't have to get bruised if rejected. So sayeth Dorothy Dix.

I swear I've seen him on Tumblr. Or at least a guy who has worked Les Miz merch. If I remember who I'll let you know!

As someone who has been a merchandise guy for a Broadway show, I can assure you that not all of us are "out there," and in the nine months I had that job I never flirted once (I was sometimes extremely friendly, but never flirty), nor did I ever see any of my co-workers (many of whom were attractive, gay males) flirting. If this guy was actually flirting with you, he was probably interested.
PS: Your post on Audition Update is on the main board- click on the "bitching post" tab and post there, as Ripped suggested.

I'm not sure this would work, but have you thought about writing to him, c/o the theater? Isn't that how folks get requests for autographs to stars? Maybe it could work for this? No harm in trying.

They do? All of them?
