Here's the first Playbill of the 2014-2015 season! and here's to more to come!
*Edit: I'm sorry for the duplicate thread, but the inner-OCD in me wanted to keep the subject line and style of threads of this kind that have been consistent for the past few seasons.
In addition, in case anyone missed it, Playbill is altering their iconic logo for the month of June in support of LGBTQ Pride Month next month.
"The Broadway community has always been on the forefront of this issue—leading the way to prove that equality, love and respect matters," said Playbill President and CEO Philip Birsh. "Playbill continues its support for this vital cause by honoring all the outstanding efforts made by the community at large and will lend our magazine—the magazine of Broadway—to celebrate all the theatrical community has done to further the efforts towards fairness and equality."
I'm loving that they have all been color so far! I think "You Can't Take It With You" is my favorite artwork so far. I just got tickets for it and I can't wait!
HEDWIG should be debuting a new playbill tonight! At least one that's just the logo without NHP's face.
"Oh look at the time, three more intelligent plays just closed and THE ADDAMS FAMILY made another million dollars" -Jackie Hoffman, Broadway.com Audience Awards
I LOVE the artwork for The Last Ship. I think it's simple and beautiful all at once.
Side note: Question, out of curiosity, why are you surprised that On The Town is in color? It has beautiful artwork I was assuming they would have at least started it in color, no?
