I'll start:

I was watching the taped version of SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE (I am too young to have seen the Original Production). I thought the first act was brilliant, but, in the first 20 minutes of Act II Iwas losing focus of the new storyline. However, then Bernadette Peters, as her own daughter, dressed grandmotherly and wheelchair-bound, sang "Children and Art". As she sang to her dead mother about George, I found myself sobbing, silently so I would be able to appreciate the performance. For the remainder of the show I was in tears. That song/performance holds the distinction of being the only song that I have ever cried from seeing. Bernadette's brilliant performance even comes through on the OBCR, which I listen to often.
What other songs/performances have moved you to tears?

I cried both times I saw Tracie Bennett in End of The Rainbow singing ‘Over The Rainbow’, it was a combination of the song, and just the saddens of Judy’s last days. It was the first time that I actually had tears streaming down my face- after wards it occurred to be- I was sitting there in a Pink dress shirt, with Zebra Print lining, crying at a Judy Garland Play- Could I be a bigger stereotype?! LOL. Most songs that I have been really moved by may make me teary, but not really crying per say. I got pretty watery at ‘Ghost’, but then I was far from the only one who did.

"Learn to Live Without" from If/Then. I saw Idina in concert last summer and she sang it for us. I can't wait to actually see the show but I know I'll be crying during that song.

"Move On" from SITPWG.
"All the Wasted Time" from Parade.
"Send in the Clowns" as sung by Bernadette in the Revival of ALNM.
"Some Things are Meant to Be" and "Days of Plenty" in Little Women got to me.
"I Dreamed a Dream" as sung by Lea Salonga in the last revival.

Cried multiple times during Piazza.

And recently I teared up during "One Second and a Million Miles" at Bridges of Madison County.

What can I say... I have a lot of feelings.

I have Stendhal Syndrome. I cry at everything. There are far too many Broadway songs to list here.

ARTc3 formerly ARTc. Actually been a poster since 2004. My name isn't Art. Drop the "3" and say the signature and you'll understand.

^Yeah it takes very little for me to cry. I’m at the point where you can probably bet on me crying at a show with very good odds.

I'm SUCH an emotional person. Both "Letter" songs (and much more) from Billy Elliot, "I Don't Need A Roof" and "How It Ends" from Big Fish, everything they sing in the last twenty minutes of The Bridges of Madison County, "Beautiful", "Sunday", "Children and Art", and "Move On" from Sunday In the Park With George (I'm weirdly emotionally attached to that musical), basically every other song in Next to Normal. There are tons more but I can't think of them right now.

'The I Love You Song' from Spelling Bee.

No one sings it like Lisa Howard and every time I saw her do it or listen to the cast album, I cry. It's really a devastating song.

I agree with Light in the Piazza.

Also, Will You from Grey Gardens got to me. She has just destroyed her daughter's life and then sings this gorgeous song in the middle of the ruins. It was so sad in a tragic way.

It's been a while since I remember being moved to tears. I was a mess after I saw Les Miserables, the original production. I Dreamed a Dream, Bring Him Home and the Finale had me sobbing.

One other that comes to mind. Blood Brothers, which I saw in London in '94. Once again, sobbing during the final Tell Me It's Not True. Everyone in the theater was sobbing.

The finale of any good production of Man of LaMancha gets me teary eyed.
