Going to NYC this weekend and am gonna try the ROA lottery on Friday night. How many people have been in attendance lately? and has anyone sat in the partial-view student rush seats?how are they? Thanks for your help!
You'll be fine, especially if it's just a single ticket.

I was right by the theater one afternoon when they were doing the lottery and it was just a small crowd. Only a couple losers. The woman told everyone that they would have rush afterwards. This was a Sunday matinee though, so I don't know how crowded a Friday night usually is. Still, I don't think you'd have a problem with this rush. I'd recommend trying the lotto first and then if you lose you can always get a rush ticket.

Vagabond- I went October 2(Sunday) and got to the theatre around 10:30. Nobody really showed up until 11:30 and even then I probably would have gotten a ticket because it wasn't a huge crowd. The first time I rushed at the original theatre, the people at the box office gave my friend and I lotto tickets even though we didn't enter because they had 2 left. I guess they don't have a huge rush basis ordinarily.

It’s even on my birth certificate in so many words.
This is my rage.
This is my love.
This is my town.
This is my city.
This is my life."
Has anyone tried the rush or TDF for this show lately? I know it's been out for a while, but I still haven't seen it and would like to see SOMETHING Tony night. As it is, fewer shows now have Sunday evening performances and Book of Mormon (which usually has a two-show Sunday) does not have one on June 10. With Godspell now performing at the Tonys, that's out and my options are rather limited. Any recent rush experiences or perhaps alternate suggestions? Thanks in advance!
Student rush is $32 (cash only, two tickets per I.D.) and you should be okay for Sunday night, June 10, though one performer probably won't be in the show that evening, opting to be on the arm of Tony-nominee Jeremy Jordan at the Tonys.
The show's been doing exceptionally well at the Helen Hayes lately. Maybe it's all the buzz about the movie and commercials for it? The staff has already started counting how many times people ask if Tom Cruise is in the show?
The Hayes box office is terrific, great crew of ticket sellers, and will work with you, making suggestions on how you can get the best seat for the smallest bucks... if, of course, it's not sold out by then.
And remember, kids... it's always better to approach any box office with a bit of humility and courtesy, rather than trying to prove you're smarter than they are. Most box offices will help you out, but it's the customer who sets the tone. If you're unpleasant, somewhat terse or just plain rude... well... how would you react? You might end up with a ticket, but why would that person behind the window go out of their way for you when you're being an ass? They'll just wanna' get you out of there as quickly as possible so they can continue to have a good day and you can continue to fail anger management.
Just a suggestion. I could be wrong.
The number of people who will not see a show they don't want to see... is unlimited.

Out of the 4 times I have rushed in the past 3 months it was pretty dead when the box office opened. They seem to have a decent amount of tickets, but the last three times they only had single tickets. I would say get there maybe 20 mins early(if you want more than one) If not then anytime up til curtain should work.
For anyone looking for more information, we went on a Thursday morning and got there at about 9:45am and there was only one person in front of us. However, all of the seats are singles so it's not the best choice if you're trying to get tickets for a group.
How much are the rush tickets now? I see different pages listing both $32 and $37. Also, it sounds like rush is mostly single seats? I'm planning to rush next Sunday with a friend. Will we most likely have to sit apart? Thanks.
Just rushed the show today- got there at around 4:00 and got a 37 dollar student rush ticket (You can get 2 per ID). It was front row (AA) on the end and the seat was PERFECT Though at the end of the row- the seat was really still just a little off center. The people next to me had done the rush too so that seems to be were the Rush seats are located. They told me they got their tickets around 6:30. Crazy good seats for the price. The show was in my opinion, pretty frickin Awesome! I enjoyed every minute of it and would see it again in a heartbeat. So glad I revisted this show. It seems that the Rush is extremely easy to do.
I did the same thing last summer and got row AA seats as well. Absoultely PERFECT seats, especially for this show. It gets a lot of hate here for what it is, but being a huge fan of 80's rock, I still have yet to get tired of the show.
Has anyone done rush since Constantine returned? Planning on taking my sister to the show next month for her birthday and wanted to know if the rush seats were still in Row AA.
