The Curing Room, David Ian Lee's powerful and provocative play, which caused a huge stir at the 2014 Edinburgh Fringe Festival with brave and critically acclaimed performances from seven actors stripped bare on stage, will transfer to London this autumn with a three week run at the Pleasance Islington from tonight 21 October - 9 November, with a press night tomorrow 22 October. Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber's EVITA returns to London's West End for a strictly limited season. Opening on Tuesday 16 September at the recently refurbished Dominion Theatre, the musical considered by many to be Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's masterwork will play for 55 performances only in the West End, with musical theatre and pop icon Marti Pellow playing Che, Ben Forster playing Augustin Magaldi, and newcomer Madalena Alberto in the title role. Jonathan D Ellis (Les Miserables, Blood Brothers) will star in the Landor Theatre's revival of Adler and Ross' Damn Yankees as the Mephistophelean Applegate, the role popularised by Jerry Lewis in the 1990s Broadway and West End productions. Oscar Wilde's celebrated classic Lady Windermere's Fan has been transported to the 1930s in this brand new production which comes to the King's Head this August. Lady Windermere's Fan was the playwright's first big hit and when it premiered in London in 1892 it catapulted him to success.
