Tony Goes Lego! Broadway Fan Creates Lego Figures Honoring Nominees

Legos seem to be a very popular medium for visual artists inspired by the artists of theatre. In past months BroadwayWorld has reported on Janet VanD's Lego recreation of London's Her Majesty's Theatre and of Broadway Conductor Andy Grobengieser's HAMILTON Lego Logo.

The name LEGO is an abbreviation of the two Danish words "leg godt", meaning "play well." And kids and adults have been playing well with the creations of company founder Ole Kirk Kristiansen and his heirs for over 80 years.

After Tuesday's Tony Award nominations, Lego artist Jack Abrams has been filling his Twitter page with Lego figures honoring this year's nominees. Check out his creations below.
